Origin of Welsh Corgi

Welsh Corgi date back to 1107 AD, when they have travelled with Flemish weavers and Vikings. During the 10th century, they were used for herding sheep, ducks, and other livestock.

They are related to Keeshond, Samoyed, Pomeranian, Schipperke, Norwegian Elkhound, Chow Chow and Spitz.

Welsh Corgi Temperament

Welsh Corgis are loyal, smart, loving and very eager to please. That is because they were working dogs in the past. They are very protective and active of their loved ones. You can use them as guard and watchdogs because of a tendency to bark and alert you in case of strangers.
They are amazing with kids because they are gentle, small and sturdy, which means that they can easily withstand rough play. You should socialize them from the young age so that he can get well with other dogs.

Common Welsh Corgi Conditions & Diseases
