These breeds are:

They were bred by a combination of a variety of terriers and English Bulldogs. People first started to breed them in England, particularly in Birmingham for blood sports such as dog fighting and bull baiting until that became illegal. This particular breed is widely known for aggressive behaviour and has a poor reputation because of numerous attacks on a human.

Origins of Pit Bull Terrier

They were bred from numerous terrier breeds and English Bulldog. That is the main reason why they are confident, strong and energetic. They were bred in the 18th century in Birmingham, for purpose of bear and bull baiting, which was banned in the 19th century.

They were also widely used for dog fighting which was continued in the United Kingdom, because of gambling.

Pit Bull Terrier Temperament

They are very loyal, but in some cases, they are known for attacking strangers and animals in case that they are provoked. That is because they were used throughout the history as guard dogs and for them is common to attack other people.
