Weimaraner Breed Overview
The Weimaraner is an athletic and lean dog that was bred in order to hunt large animals such as deer, wild boars, and bears. They were developed in the beginning of 19th century, and when the popularity of hunting the large animals declined, people started using them to hunt foxes, rabbits, and other smaller animals.
They are very athletic and energetic, which means that you have to exercise them frequently in order to maintain their physical and mental health. They have a high level of endurance especially as hunting companions and they require lots of attention in order to remain happy and fit.
