Siberian Husky Breed overview
The Siberian Husky is a strong and gently medium sized dog. They are widely known as working dogs, but still, they are popular all over the world. They come in different colours such as:
- Black and White
- Brown
- Red and white
- Grey
- Red-orange
- Silver
They have medium length double coat that can easily withstand extremely cold temperature below freezing, but they also enjoy in hot climates. Siberian Huskies can reach up to 58 cm in height and 27 kg in weight.

Origins of Siberian Husky
They were bred by Chukchi people that live in North Asia in order to endure sled travels to long distance while carrying loads. There are numerous researches that shown that purity remained intact until the 19th century, and that is when they dog became widely known as Siberian Huskies.
In the beginning of 20th century, people from Alaska became aware of them and imported them. They became widely popular and today we can see them everywhere.
Siberian Husky Temperament
Siberian Husky has a good nature and fun-loving personality; they can also be very stubborn, which means that you should be persistent while training them. They require lots of sound training in order to get better behaviour and they are difficult to train. They are quite independent, but still, they enjoy the company of other dogs.
They enjoy running, which means that you have to be active in order to provide them satisfaction and mental clearness.

Eyes – Siberian Huskies tend to have eye cataract, and that is the decease that attacks approximately 10% of the breed. The most common time for the disease is in young age and it could lead to blindness.
