American Bulldog Breed Guide
The American Bulldog is stocky and large working dog that has been bred from the family of Mastiffs. They have half-erect ears and amazingly strong jaw.
We can trace their lineage from Scott Bulldog and American Johnson Bulldog. They were bred as working dogs and that is why they need frequent, moderate exercise.
American Bulldogs are much faster, bigger and agile than English ones. They have strong legs which mean that they can jump very high, approximately 6 feet. With short fur, they usually come in brindle and white, but there are many colours available.
